Personal storyWorking across industry, consultancy and academia for the last 25 years, I’ve focused on using data, modelling and AI to solve problems that genuinely matter. My career has taken me from visual effects for blockbuster films and a prosthetic hand now in the London Science Museum, to advising the European Central Bank on AI strategy, building an AI model to set the research direction for a leading global pharmaceutical company, and working with several governments and regulators to shape AI risk regulation. Outside of work, I compete internationally in showjumping, raise two children, and keep trying to work out why there are so many animals in my house.
