Stephen became the Chair of Pebl in March 2025.
Career Highlights:
- Stephen has had extensive HR leadership responsibilities in both the private and public sectors, including with a number of large international companies
- He served as a member of the executive committee at Guinness, the BBC and Thomson Reuters
- He was a Partner at Bain Capital with a human capital remit across the Europe portfolio companies until his retirement in December 2021, and until recently served as a Senior Adviser at the Firm
- In his earlier career at Diageo, Stephen held many generalist and specialist HR roles
- He has also held various trustee and non-executive roles, including at Engage for Success Foundation and the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD)
- More recently he served as NED at the UK Government Cabinet Office and is currently a Trustee Board Member at National Museums Scotland
